There
are 5 en-suite bedrooms at The Crown,
each with digital flat-screen TV, tea & coffee-making
facilities and desks or dressing tables. Refurbished
at the beginning of 2007, the accommodation is simple,
clean and supplied with plenty of fluffy white towels
and crisp bed linen.
For guests travelling on business, there is wireless
internet access available in all rooms.
The pub is conveniently located close to the A1307,
Granta Science Park and the M11. Linton is only a twenty
minute bus ride away from Cambridge
- an ideal base for those who want to avoid the congested
city centre.
The village itself is a charming location with many
old buildings and small shops. The River Granta
flows through on its way to Cambridge and there are
many pleasant country walks in the vicinity.
Local attractions include Linton Zoo
and Chilford Hall vineyards. The delightful
Clare valley towns of Long Melford and Lavenham are
within easy reach as are the market towns of Newmarket
and Saffron Walden.
